Black Blues Brothers: Let’s Twist Again! McEwan Hall at Underbelly, Bristo Square
16th August 2026
★★★★★
Firm favourites the Black Blues Brothers are back with their electrifying, family-friendly show. Set in a smoky train station and driven by an unforgettable rock’n’roll soundtrack, the Black Blues Brothers aim to perform jaw-dropping acrobatics, towering human pyramids and gravity-defying stunts. With hit music by Glenn Miller, Elvis Presley and Aretha Franklin, this is billed as the ultimate experience for all ages.
This is a great show for all the family. Plenty of tricks and stunts coupled with a loveable, funny cast. There is a small storyline infiltrated throughout the show but it is the amazing acrobatic skill which makes this show stand out. The leaps, balances and sheer strength and stamina onstage is enough to make anyone feel exhausted just watching.
Black Blues Brothers is a feast for the eyes but also has an upbeat soundtrack full of songs designed to be instantly recognisable and enjoyed. Audience participation is encouraged and it’s hard not to join in with the clapping and swaying when you have these charismatic talented men in front of you.
There are a few cirque style shows at the Fringe and they always do well as they are so multi generational and most of all fun. Black Blues Brothers is no exception – it is energetic, upbeat and a spectacle. Definitely one to take the whole family to.
